By removing the built-in tourniquet compartment found on kits like the TORK or M-FAK, the ETAK gains significant interior space relative to its external footprint.
The tear-away back panel is the kit's defining structural feature — it enables the entire back of the pouch to be rapidly separated, converting the kit from a mounted pouch to a flat carry system with immediate bilateral access.
