The K-9 RUF Medical Kit represents North American Rescue's comprehensive answer for teams that must carry trauma capability for both a working dog and the handler in a single deployable package. The slim-profile RUF bag (18 × 8 × 2 in.) holds two tear-away internal panels, each loaded with a complete set of IFAK-level trauma supplies — giving the handler two independent treatment loads for sustained operations or multi-casualty scenarios. Two additional tear-away clear accessory pouches hold the K9-specific veterinary supplies, and a shock cord panel secures the compact NAR K-9 Litter for canine evacuation.

The CoTCCC-recommended C-A-T® tourniquets (two included) address the single largest cause of preventable death in tactical operations: extremity hemorrhage. These are sized and configured for human use — serving the handler or any other person injured in the field. The veterinary tissue adhesive and veterinary tape are sized for canine wound closure, while the veterinary thermometer supports assessment of heat injury — a leading cause of canine incapacitation in high-activity operations. Survival wraps (two included) address hypothermia for both canine and human casualties.
