Rescue Task Forces (RTFs) are integrated law enforcement and EMS units that advance into warm zones during active shooter events to provide immediate lifesaving care to victims who cannot safely wait for the hot zone to be secured. The first responder reaching multiple casualties needs a pre-organized kit configured specifically for multi-patient triage — not a single-casualty IFAK, and not a full squad-level medic bag. The RTF Rapid Response Kit exists in this exact space.
The kit's exterior MOLLE webbing carries four pre-mounted C-A-T® tourniquet holders, putting four CoTCCC-recommended tourniquets in immediate hands-reach for rapid application to multiple bleeding casualties. A nylon triage tape dispenser loaded with four rolls of color-coded triage tape allows simultaneous START/JumpSTART triage documentation without searching inside the bag. The interior's three fixed mesh pockets and repositionable elastic loop panel maintain organized access to the kit's hemorrhage and thoracic supplies during rapid multi-patient work.
The RTF version uses an adjustable padded shoulder strap (28–50 in.) with quick-release buckle for cross-body carry — keeping the medic's hands free for treatment while moving between patients. Color-coded chem light label loops allow the 8 chem light positions to be pre-organized for rapid scene assessment and patient marking. Customization is available directly through MED-TAC International to accommodate department-specific medical SOPs.
