Carrying a quad-fold litter into a combat or active threat environment requires more than a simple case — the carrier must keep the litter stable during fast-rope (FRIES) insertions, helicopter operations, running, and complex movement without risking accidental litter loss. The standard Assault Litter Carrier addressed this, but the RIG Series represents an enhanced version specifically engineered for the most demanding special operations and tactical law enforcement applications.
The signature enhancement is the additional securing strap over the top of the litter. This strap prevents the litter from shifting or ejecting even during FRIES operations, helicopter hoisting, and the extreme dynamic movement of high-speed direct action or tactical entries. Combined with three additional handles for controlled packing and unloading, the RIG Series provides the level of litter security and access control demanded by operators who cannot afford to lose their equipment during mission-critical moments.
Upgraded padded shoulder straps address the fatigue problem of long-duration litter carries — particularly relevant for special operations units conducting extended patrols where the litter must be carried continuously for hours. The top-flap pocket for Heat Reflective Shell storage and back-panel pocket for the Heating Element and Casualty Equipment Bag integrate thermal patient management supplies directly into the litter carrier platform, eliminating a separate bag for hypothermia prevention equipment.
IMPORTANT: The RIG Series Assault Litter Carrier is compatible with quad-fold litters ONLY — specifically the Talon II and MedEvac models. It is NOT compatible with bi-fold litters such as the RAVEN® 90C or OSL.
