The TC Splint fills an important gap in the emergency splinting market: a rigid, multi-fracture splinting system that folds small enough to carry in a tactical medic bag while deploying to a full-length rigid platform capable of supporting lower extremity fractures. Unlike flexible aluminum splints (SAM Splint II) that provide good immobilization through molding but limited rigidity for major long-bone fractures, the TC Splint uses 6 telescoping stainless steel poles within a nylon shell to create a genuinely rigid splinting platform when deployed — providing firm immobilization without improvisation.

Deployment is rapid: the splint unfolds from its 8 × 5 × 3 inch packaged configuration to a 34 × 9.5 inch platform, the telescoping poles extend to the required length, and 4 wide elastic bands with hook-and-loop closures secure the injured limb at multiple points. The internal non-absorbent foam padding provides patient comfort during transport and prevents pressure points at pole contact sites. The exterior 400 denier nylon shell is non-absorbent, water resistant, and easy to clean.

Step-by-step instructions are printed on the device itself and included as a separate insert, supporting consistent application by providers at varying training levels.
