Product Overview

The Advantage® Pressure Bar is the individual pressure bar component from 6:8 Medical Solutions' Popp Point Pressure™ hemorrhage control system. It is designed to be threaded through or secured within any wrap, bandage, or tourniquet to lock in targeted point pressure over a wound site — eliminating the need for a provider to manually hold pressure over hemostatic agents for the 3–5 minutes required for clot formation.

Standard hemorrhage control protocols require sustained manual pressure for hemostatic gauze activation — a significant logistical burden in a multi-casualty or lone-provider scenario. The Pressure Bar solves this by maintaining consistent, localized pressure with no hands required after application. The large pressure head version (TADV-02) is specifically optimized for proximal hemorrhage management sites — axilla, groin, and large wound cavities — where broad surface pressure is required.

Compatible with all CoTCCC-recommended tourniquets and non-pressure bandages, the Pressure Bar integrates into any existing hemorrhage control protocol without requiring new equipment or training frameworks. It also supports tourniquet conversion, maintaining wound pressure during the transition from tourniquet to dressing and reducing re-bleed risk. The 8-year shelf life makes it appropriate for pre-positioned vehicle kits, fixed-facility emergency stocks, and long-duration deployment loadouts.
